Welcome to Djurgårdens hembygdsförening!
Our mission
Djurgarden’s Cultural Heritage Society, is a non-profit organization. We work for protection and preservation of historical buildings and the diversity of landscapes and ecosystem values on Djurgarden, as part of the Royal National City Park in Stockholm. Our organization was founded in 1947 and is run by a board elected by our members.
As a member you support our work and will receive four numbers per year of our magazine Djurgardsbladet (in Swedish), where we publish news on Djurgarden, building and exploitation plans and historical essays. You will also find invitations to our activities, i.e. guided tours in historical landscapes, visits to historical buildings and private homes as well as lectures on Djurgarden and the Royal National City Park.
